Soroptimist International Dunfermline has recently celebrated it’s 75th Anniversary as a club and is a member of Soroptimist International Great Britian and Ireland (SIGBI). Their vision is to help women and girls to achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.
At a local level they aim to achieve this through Programme Action activities. Examples of activities this year have included a pop up shop to raise funds for Aberlour Children’s Trust, volunteering, raising funds and donating with Dunfermline Children’s Clothes Bank, food drives for Dunfermline Food Bank, litter picks and beach cleans, among others.
SI hold meetings twice a month from September to June generally at the Carnegie Conference Centre, with meetings in January and February held via Zoom.
